This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. All processing happens locally inside your browser.

What the Extension Does

Arabic RTL for AI Chats injects a content script into the supported AI chat sites (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com) and applies the dir="auto" attribute to text-bearing HTML elements that contain Arabic characters, so each paragraph is aligned right-to-left as expected. No content from these pages is read for any other purpose.

Data We Collect

None. The extension does not collect any of the following:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, phone, etc.)
• Authentication information (passwords, credentials, security questions, tokens)
• Financial or payment information
• Health information
• Personal communications (messages, emails, conversations)
• Location data
• Web history or browsing activity
• User activity (clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement, scroll position)
• Website content beyond what is needed locally to detect Arabic text and adjust direction

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API only to remember your preferences — whether the extension is enabled and which sites it should run on. These settings are stored locally in your browser (and synced across your own Chrome installations through your Google account, if you have Chrome Sync enabled). They are never transmitted to us or to any third party.

Permissions Justification

• storage — to save your enable/disable preferences locally.
• activeTab — to allow the popup's "Reload tab" button to refresh the current tab after you change settings.
• Host permissions for claude.ai, chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, and gemini.google.com — required so the content script can adjust the text direction on those specific sites and nowhere else.

Third Parties

The extension does not send data to any server, analytics service, advertising network, or third party. There are no tracking pixels, no telemetry, and no remote code execution.

Children's Privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, an updated version will be published at the same URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
